What a session is like, start to finish

  1. Inquire and chat

Send me the short inquiry form. I reply within the day, and we'll sort out the details.

  2. Plan

We pick a place and a time. Outdoor light is best when the sun is low, so [TODO: Jess's usual time windows]. For clothes, pick things you're comfortable in and that suit each other without matching exactly.

  3. The session

It runs 30 minutes to 1 hour, outdoors or at your home, in natural light. I take photos while you do your thing. We stop for breaks if kids or pets need one.

  4. Your gallery

In 1 to 2 weeks you'll get 20 edited photos in a private online gallery, ready to download. [TODO: prints, products, sharing the gallery link, how long the gallery stays up]

  • Kids who won't sit still

They don't have to. I follow them. A short session and natural light mean nobody is pinned to a mark. If a meltdown happens, we take a minute.

  • Excited or nervous dogs

Tell me about your dog in the inquiry. On lead or off, whatever they're comfortable with and whatever is safe where we are. Other pets at home are welcome in the photos.

  • Not a poser

Most people say that. You won't be asked to stand in a line. I'll give small directions, like "turn toward her" or "walk to that tree".

  • If the weather turns

Natural light means the weather matters, and I'd rather tell you straight. If it's pouring or the light is bad, we move the date. [TODO: Jess's real reschedule policy, whether it costs anything, and whether she offers an at-home session as a backup]

  • At home or outdoors

At home, I use the light from your windows. Outdoors, we pick a spot that works for your people and your pet. Either way, I don't bring studio lights. [TODO: any limits, such as small condo rooms or park permits]
